Energy modeling is a relatively new and growing field. Energy models offer an efficient, virtual way to forecast energy performance for sustainability benchmarking and code compliance. They are also a helpful tool during the decision-making process. But how accurate is this method of forecasting energy performance? With performance-based compliance becoming commonplace, how can we quantify the uncertainty of our models?

Join ASHRAE and CHIBPSA (Chicago Chapter of IBPSA) to hear Dr. Ralph Muehleisen (Argonne National Labs) and Dr. Bass Abushakra (MSOE) reflect on these topics in a panel discussion. We will start the evening’s program with an update from the ASHRAE Energy Modeling Conference Lowdown Showdown event. Both speakers will then share their expertise and and follow up with an open discussion — so bring some questions!
