Meeting/Event Information
Illinois Chapter usually meets once each month, August through June, on Tuesdays. The Chapter’s annual golf outing and fund raiser always takes place in September. Generally 70 to 80 members gather at monthly meetings, which makes them an excellent networking opportunity for members interested in meeting and developing other contacts in the industry.
The State of Illinois requires professional engineers to complete 30 PDHs (Professional Development Hours) of training for license renewal. The Illinois Chapter ASHRAE offers educational programs with more than enough PDHs to help engineers satisfy this requirement.
Presentations from previous Chapter seminars and meetings may be downloaded after logging into the "Member Area." The Illinois Chapter of ASHRAE stores past presentations. You must be a member to access them from this website. If you are not yet a member, sign-up today or contact us for more information.

The Young Engineers in ASHRAE (YEA) group is getting together again after our Summer siesta, and looking forward to the start of another great year! Join us on Wednesday, Aug. 29, starting at 5:30 p.m. DLR Group is hosting us at their swanky new office with views of the river! We’ll be talking about the kinds of events we want to have this year and how you can get involved with YEA. If there’s something you’re interested in and want to do as a group, then we’d love to have you take the lead! Ping-pong bar with free drinks? Easy-peasy. Kickball league to channel your inner child? Sure thing coach. Ice-skating on the frozen lake in February? You first.
Besides a sweet brainstorming sesh, we’ll also be hanging out with some free snacks and refreshments. If you’re new to the industry, the city or the workforce, this is a great way to network and find friends in the industry. We’re non-exclusive as well — if you work at an integrated firm, feel free to bring your favorite architect, structural engineer, or contractor along. We hope to see you there!
