Meeting/Event Information
Illinois Chapter usually meets once each month, August through June, on Tuesdays. The Chapter’s annual golf outing and fund raiser always takes place in September. Generally 70 to 80 members gather at monthly meetings, which makes them an excellent networking opportunity for members interested in meeting and developing other contacts in the industry.
The State of Illinois requires professional engineers to complete 30 PDHs (Professional Development Hours) of training for license renewal. The Illinois Chapter ASHRAE offers educational programs with more than enough PDHs to help engineers satisfy this requirement.
Presentations from previous Chapter seminars and meetings may be downloaded after logging into the "Member Area." The Illinois Chapter of ASHRAE stores past presentations. You must be a member to access them from this website. If you are not yet a member, sign-up today or contact us for more information.

THE MAY 12 ILLINOIS ASHRAE MEETING IS MOVING ONLINE!
Topic: BCxA Value of Commissioning
Plan to join us for the Illinois ASHRAE's joint (webinar) meeting with the Building Commissioning Association (BCxA) at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 12th. The BCxA generated a market survey in coordination with the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab to provide feedback on market influences, drivers for procuring commissioning services, incorporation of established Cx practices, as well as the effectiveness/ persistence of Cx as a best practice. The Market Survey is intended to complement the results of LBNL’s building data survey which consisted of cost and savings data across two decades and 1,500 projects.
Our presenter is Tom Poeling, Project Support Director for U.S. Engineering Construction, a Top 25 mechanical contractor nationally. Tom has more than 27 years of industry experience with a background in energy efficiency and building commissioning. Tom is the Immediate Past-President of the Building Commissioning Association. The BCxA is a professional organization that strives to raise awareness of building commissioning and to empower commissioning providers, building owners, and others to optimize the built environment.
Foregoing our normal food and drinks this month, the webinar registration fee is only $15.00. Please register soon.
