Meeting/Event Information
Illinois Chapter usually meets once each month, August through June, on Tuesdays. The Chapter’s annual golf outing and fund raiser always takes place in September. Generally 70 to 80 members gather at monthly meetings, which makes them an excellent networking opportunity for members interested in meeting and developing other contacts in the industry.
The State of Illinois requires professional engineers to complete 30 PDHs (Professional Development Hours) of training for license renewal. The Illinois Chapter ASHRAE offers educational programs with more than enough PDHs to help engineers satisfy this requirement.
Presentations from previous Chapter seminars and meetings may be downloaded after logging into the "Member Area." The Illinois Chapter of ASHRAE stores past presentations. You must be a member to access them from this website. If you are not yet a member, sign-up today or contact us for more information.

We’re kicking off the 2010-11 meeting season at the Rock Bottom Brewery, located on Chicago’s north side. (Parking lot is on north side of Grand Ave. east of State Street. The Brewery is upstairs from the Grand Ave. station of the Red Line subway, so consider using public transportation.) Homemade Rock Bottom beer, root beer and soda will be among the main refreshments served at this casual get together. Lots of appetizers and snacks are also planned.
The new Illinois Chapter President, Bill Ammons, will describe what we have to offer in the way of educational, social and other events. He’ll also introduce our committees and discuss opportunities for getting more involved in ASHRAE. The kickoff meeting is mostly dedicated to having fun, so we are not only interested in seeing Illinois Chapter regulars at the meeting but also new faces. So Aug. 24th has been declared“Membership Night.” Bring someone in your office you think should know about ASHRAE. The meeting cost is $35 per person. Bring a guest and get your reservation in now. We hope to see you there.
