Meeting/Event Information
Illinois Chapter usually meets once each month, August through June, on Tuesdays. The Chapter’s annual golf outing and fund raiser always takes place in September. Generally 70 to 80 members gather at monthly meetings, which makes them an excellent networking opportunity for members interested in meeting and developing other contacts in the industry.
The State of Illinois requires professional engineers to complete 30 PDHs (Professional Development Hours) of training for license renewal. The Illinois Chapter ASHRAE offers educational programs with more than enough PDHs to help engineers satisfy this requirement.
Presentations from previous Chapter seminars and meetings may be downloaded after logging into the "Member Area." The Illinois Chapter of ASHRAE stores past presentations. You must be a member to access them from this website. If you are not yet a member, sign-up today or contact us for more information.

When: Thursday, March 30, meet in Lobby at 5:00 p.m.

The Young Engineers in ASHRAE (YEA) has organized a group tour of the Enwave/Centrio facility on Thursday, March 30. The approximately one-hour long tour of the Enwave Plant #2 will begin at 5:00 p.m. Afterwards you are invited to a Happy Hour at the nearby Franklin Tap (325 W. Franklin St.). (If there is time, a visit to the Post Office Plant will be included.)
A district energy system is a highly efficient design to connect many buildings with differing energy profiles to a central energy source. Providing heating and cooling from a central plant usually requires less fuel and displaces the need to install separate space heating and cooling and hot water systems in each building. The district energy system does the work, providing valuable benefits.
