Meeting/Event Information
Illinois Chapter usually meets once each month, August through June, on Tuesdays. The Chapter’s annual golf outing and fund raiser always takes place in September. Generally 70 to 80 members gather at monthly meetings, which makes them an excellent networking opportunity for members interested in meeting and developing other contacts in the industry.
The State of Illinois requires professional engineers to complete 30 PDHs (Professional Development Hours) of training for license renewal. The Illinois Chapter ASHRAE offers educational programs with more than enough PDHs to help engineers satisfy this requirement.
Presentations from previous Chapter seminars and meetings may be downloaded after logging into the "Member Area." The Illinois Chapter of ASHRAE stores past presentations. Title: ASHRAE Standard 62.1 Indoor Air Quality Procedure: Advancing IAQ for Net Zero and Healthy Spaces
Presenter: Ryan Peters
Join us for a presentation on ASHRAE Standard 62.1, which outlines the Indoor Air Quality Procedure (IAQP) as an alternative to the Ventilation Rate Procedure. The IAQP focuses on indoor air cleaning to reduce reliance on outside air, promoting energy efficiency while maintaining healthy IAQ. This session will explore recent updates, including new design parameters for contaminants and a calculator for easier IAQP implementation. Case studies demonstrating successful IAQP applications will also be discussed.
