Meeting/Event Information
Illinois Chapter usually meets once each month, August through June, on Tuesdays. The Chapter’s annual golf outing and fund raiser always takes place in September. Generally 70 to 80 members gather at monthly meetings, which makes them an excellent networking opportunity for members interested in meeting and developing other contacts in the industry.
The State of Illinois requires professional engineers to complete 30 PDHs (Professional Development Hours) of training for license renewal. The Illinois Chapter ASHRAE offers educational programs with more than enough PDHs to help engineers satisfy this requirement.
Presentations from previous Chapter seminars and meetings may be downloaded after logging into the "Member Area." The Illinois Chapter of ASHRAE stores past presentations. Speaker bio: Michael has been part of the HVAC industry for 20 years. His experience includes HVAC sales, technical support, controls and applications. He’s been a member of Daikin for 10 years and previously headed the HVAC technical support team at Grainger. He is a graduate of the Environmental Technical Institute and holds various certifications throughout the industry. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, playing softball, basketball and working out.
Presentation: VRF Design and A2L Refrigerants
We will cover the upcoming R32 transition as it pertains to VRF equipment. Focusing on new equipment components to comply with the updated ASHRAE A2L standards. Detailed overview of new ASHRAE, IMC/UMC codes as well as local requirements with application examples.
CANCELLATION POLICY: As meeting venues normally require a minimum guarantee 48 hours or more before the event, we are unable to refund prepaid registrations that are cancelled after this time as well as after the event.
