Meeting/Event Information
Illinois Chapter usually meets once each month, August through June, on Tuesdays. The Chapter’s annual golf outing and fund raiser always takes place in September. Generally 70 to 80 members gather at monthly meetings, which makes them an excellent networking opportunity for members interested in meeting and developing other contacts in the industry.
The State of Illinois requires professional engineers to complete 30 PDHs (Professional Development Hours) of training for license renewal. The Illinois Chapter ASHRAE offers educational programs with more than enough PDHs to help engineers satisfy this requirement.
Presentations from previous Chapter seminars and meetings may be downloaded after logging into the "Member Area." The Illinois Chapter of ASHRAE stores past presentations. Approximately 3,500 buildings must comply with the City of Chicago Energy Benchmarking Ordinance by June 1st, 2016 – what can you do to help your customers and clients meet the requirements of the newordinance?
Please join YEA at 5:30pm on May 6th for a discussion about the City of Chicago Benchmarking Ordinance and to learn more about the basics of building energy benchmarking using ENERGY STAR’s Portfolio Manager Tool. Edna Lorenz PE, CEM, LEED AP O+M, Senior Associate at ESD, and member of the ASHRAE IL Grassroots Government Activities Committee will be presenting. This course qualifies for 1 PDH credit.
Drinks and light snacks will be provided. Come network with fellow energy professionals in the building science industry. The event is free, but space is limited! Reserve your spot by registering as soon as possible.
